Talented chilean conductor Helmuth Reichel Silva will make his debut in Japan with the TSO here at MUZA Kawasaki Symphony Hall. Music director Jonathan Nott of TSO praises him, saying, "he has something special". Silva will conduct Mussorgsky's “Dance of the Persian Slaves from Opera Khovanshchina” and “Scherazade” which is based on One Thousand and One Nights (Arabian Nights). Saint=Saëns’ Piano Concerto No.5 "The Egyptian" will be performed by Pianist Kana Okada, the finalist of The Queen Elisabeth Competition 2016.
